At VeriTalk, we're driven by a simple mission: to protect people from the financial and emotional impact of phone scams. We're an idealistic startup that wants to use technology as a force for good, and bring it to as many people as possible.
Addressing the Growing Problem
Phone scams affect more people each year, causing not just financial losses but emotional trauma. People we love were directly affected, which inspired us to take action.
While VeriTalk is focused on preventing phone scams, it is worth noting that the total amounts above are describing fraud losses from all contact methods.
Scams affect age groups differently
After learning more, we saw that not only are people losing money, but some losing connection with their friends and family. Some elderly people are pressured to give up their phones after negative outcomes. We aim to help people secure their finances and keep their communication channels open. We expect that our service will be most valuable to older generations, but we hope that it will be useful to everyone.
Our Approach
As a young startup, we are trying to get started with our own savings and the money we earn from providing great service. By doing it ourselves, we can stay free from pressures to grow at all costs. Instead, we'll keep your data safe and secure. We are based in the United States, and have aims to expand to serve the global market. During our early days, we will provide data security and privacy by storing very little data. In the future, we will add convenience features after implementing security on-par with Apple.

We minimize what we keep. Call metadata (timestamps and threat-level labels) is automatically deleted after 180 days. Detailed call summaries are stored only if you opt in, encrypted with a key we hold. Your contact data stays until you delete it or your account. See exactly what we store.
